Jessica Byington - Miss Teen International® 2009 - Prelim Evening Gown Winner
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Mary Poppins was right.. it's extraordinary! (Say it... It really does make you feel better!)
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Curling your eyelashes using an eyelash curler makes your eyes look wider, brighter and makes eyelashes appear naturally longer. If you heat the eyelash curler beforehand using a blow dryer, lashes will stay curled longer - even until the next day! (Works like a charm!)
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I am extremely proud to have earned a 4.0 cumulative GPA and to be a designated Presidential Scholar's student at Miami University. Overcoming dyslexia has been quite a difficult journey but has helped me recognize the gifts related to this diagnosis; whereas, most view it only as "a learning disability."
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
I love Sunday - my day to relax, spend quality time with my family, and attend church. Oh, and did I mention our family tradition of eating brunch every Sunday at the Cheesecake Factory?!?! May I suggest the French Toast Napoleon with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice? Yum!
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
My good luck charm is something that I received on my crowning night. My sister attached an heirloom cross pin to my sash as a token of good luck. Wearing this pin reminds me that with faith all things are possible.
